Today was my first day back to work after the holidays and I'm beat. I came in for a bit on the 27th and 28th but I can't even legitimately count those days because I mostly chatted and daydreamed the whole time I was there. Bygones.
As a family, I think we're all a little shell shocked from jumping right back into work, school, basketball, cheerleading, ballet, etc. - after such a relaxing, stay-in-pajamas-all-day kind of break. Plus, a couple of the littles are still trying to shake some remaining issues from the stomach virus that's been going around. I'm so sick of poop, I don't know what to do.
I wanted to share with you a few questions from a post I wrote for PLPT and Curly Nikki earlier this week.
- What are your top 3-5 priorities right now? Does your lifestyle reflect these priorities? How can you take steps to change that?
- Does your daily work reflect how your interests have changed over time? Do you have projects and responsibilities that inspire you or that weigh you down?
- How do you spend most of your free time? Is this in line with the priorities you listed above? Have you resigned yourself to the belief that you don't have a choice in the matter?
- Do you feel strong enough to stand by your decisions when people criticize you? Or when things don't fall into place perfectly right away? Do you believe in yourself more than you care about what other people think?
I'm just going to keep reminding you to check your pulse every now and then. Ask yourself the probing questions. Be uncomfortably honest with yourself. Make sure that your everyday efforts count in a way that means something to you.

You're funny. I've reached that get my ass in the gym place as well. Between Europe and the holidays mama has gotten pretty soft and squishy. Blech.
ReplyDeleteLOL, that's what Ravy calls my belly, "soft and squishy"
