The exercises in Self-Care Check-in cover six areas of well-being: physical, mental, social, spiritual, creative, and career/goals.

Day One (Self-Care Story):  When we learn that self-care is a multi-dimensional, holistic approach to life, not just a way to find relief or distraction in the moment, that's when our stories begin to change.  How have your self-care habits or lack of them impacted your evolution as a woman?

Day Two (Self-Love in Action):  Alignment is when our thoughts, beliefs, and actions reflect our authentic truths and don’t contradict each other.  That means when we say we love ourselves, it shows up in our actions and the way we take care of ourselves.  How does self-love show up in your actions?

Day Three (Authentic Self-Care):  One person’s approach to loving themselves through self-care may be quite different from the next person, and we may not initially recognize certain habits as self-care.  You can figure out your authentic self-care strategy by deciding how you want to feel and what makes you feel that way.  What does self-care mean to you?

Day Four (Spiritual Self-Care): Spirituality is extremely personal and our concept of it evolves as we move through life.  When this area is neglected, we might feel unanchored, stifled or overwhelmed, lost or without foundation. How do you nurture your spirit day-to-day?

Day Five (Mental Health): Many of us don’t realize that mental health is something that we all need to know about, not just those directly affected by an illness.  If mental health is a blindspot for you, you could be putting your physical health and every other area of your life at risk.  What does caring for your mental health mean to you?

Day Six (Physical Health): When you take your health for granted, physical symptoms eventually begin to manifest. Nothing touches every aspect of your life more than your physical health. One of the best ways to relieve ourselves of the stress and strain that inevitably leads to illness is physical activity.  How do you show appreciation and honor your body day-to-day?

Day Seven (Social Self-Care): When we know how to take care of ourselves, we can show up for others whole, not looking to be filled up.  We must remember to stay aligned with our inner selves and not get lost in the roles we play and the expectations that people have. That’s where it’s easy to lose ourselves.  How can you nurture your relationships and still honor your needs and boundaries?

Day Eight (Career/Professional):  The energy we bring to work, school, and our professional development in general, sets the tone to either help us grow or keep us in a state of inertia. To take care, we want to be emotionally aware to decrease stress and keep our creative juices flowing. We also want to protect our energy and navigate our ups and downs mindfully. What drains you about work and what energizes you?

Day Nine (Creative Self-Care): Creative self-care can take many forms in your life.  If you think you’re not creative, it’s time to  change how you think about it. Anytime you are tapping into your natural gifts and curiosities in a way that inspires you and makes you feel good, that is creative self-care.  What activities give you a sense of creative fulfillment?
